I want to buy a decent treadmill for under $160. I relize that i could buy a nonmoterized one for that or less. If you have bought one like that could you give some reviews about it? Thanks!:)
you can find used treadmills on craigslist.com for that price. even motorized ones!
I want to buy a treadmill for home.Alot of reviews say to get an expensive one for runners but i only plan on jogging 5-6 mph for 30-45 minutes a day and only 3-4 times a week. Any suggestions on a good budget brand ($600-800) to go with ???

I am looking to purchase a treadmill, but have a very tight budget. The cheapest high quality one that I could find is at walmart.com called the Weslo G-30 treadmill selling for $198 + shipping + tax = $262.60. Does anyone know of any other ones that are at this price range and where to buy? Also, does anyone know anything about Weslo treadmills (are they good)?
whatever you do…please make sure the belt is wide enough for you to walk or jog on. get on the thing and walk or jog as you normally would. If you feet get anywhere within 3 inches of the edge, DO NOT BUY IT. I know your budget it tight, but better to walk outside or in the mall than fall off the treadmill because the belt is too narrow.
i know this is not really what you are looking for in an answer, but I do not want you to get hurt.

I’m seriously unfit at the moment, and pretty overweight, and whenever I’ve dieted in the past, it hasn’t really worked. So obviously I need to diet AND do more excercise.
I’ve found both of them reasonably cheap with decent customer reviews, and I could possibly even afford to get both. But I don’t know if I’d be wasting my money and just one would be enough. The attraction of a runner is that I can watch TV or something whilst I’m using it!!! With a rower, it’s probably be quite difficult to do that.
Would you recommend that I get one over the other, or should I stretch my budget and go for both?
Just workout daily (lightly) and eat smaller portions. No need for a diet. Just eat normal healthy food but, in smaller portions. You might be a Little hungry after a meal but you’ll get use to that feeling after a week or two and then it shouldn’t be a problem. As for the machine, my advice would be to not buy either and just go for a walk everyday. nothing extreme, just a nice brisk walk. And always eat AFTER you work out. I tend to eat less or feel like eating less after a work out. walks, crunches, and buy some 3-5 lb hand weights to work on your arms and you should be just fine.
