Which treadmill? Cross trainer or treadmill?

December 5th, 2009 admin Leave a comment Go to comments

I really want to get myself into a fitness routine, and though I know running on the road outside is cheap, the cold UK weather has been putting me off recently. So, I am thinking of buying myself a treadmill or a cross trainer.

1) Which is better for increasing fitness and weight loss, treadmill or cross trainer?

2) Which model/make should I get?

I have been searching the web for reviews etc but they are sparse. I have a budget of about £200 - £300 and obviously want best value for money. I don’t have a lot of room, but am worried that the fold-away ones might not be as sturdy. I like the idea of electronic incline rather than manual. What do you recommend?

I can say that a cross trainer is perfect for weight loss and increasing fitness but if you are just going to run occasionally a treadmill is better. Idont know of a great model or brand name though. If you are wanting a very nice treadmill that is sturdyit will probably cost more than your budget.Iused to have a folaway treadmill and it was very sturdy.i hope you fid something soon.
